yea my GF and i and 2 of our friends were on vacation in Manhattan when the december snow storm happened.... damn it was nuts! im talking like a foot of snow in times square. one of the best vacations i have had in awhile! we stayed @ the grand hyatt.
This is why real AWD cars like Subarus are so great in snow. They are not frou frou AWD's like a lot of cars. I spent three winters in Atlantic Canada with a couple of big, 30+ in. snow dumps and never had a problem getting around in my Subaru WRX. Other cars slipped and slided but the Subie just powered on through.
I love the snow, i really do, but my es300, even with snow tires, is ridiculously bad in snow, i think it cause it so low to the ground. The snow always accumulates in the rear wheel wheels and everytime i hit bump or dip, the tires rub with the snow making it seem like im bottoming out
