I've seen 3 on the street in the 2 years they've been on sale. It's still a very rare sight for me and I keep my eye out for cars like this.

BTW I don't think it matters how often you see them if the car is awesome enough. None of that makes a car any less special in my view.

They are common enough here and hardly get a second glance. Enthusiasts will look it over carefully of course.

I've seen 4 of them here so far. They're actually kinda big and the roofline is pretty tall. Dimensions aren't very sportcar like.

i see one everyday car is huge, it is almost as wide or wider than the 2010 750il that park next to it car is not that special until you pass some slow porsches and ferrari like it is standing still.. maintance is not an issue on these car unless track the car then it does get expansive.. Normal street driving it is cheaper to maintain a GTR than any modern Porsche.

The car doesn't look so special, it feels so bloated on the inside. It looks massive from the outside too.

I bet it drives well though.

Well I might be a GT-R fanboi but I love it to this day. It does not get old to me. I've seen PLENTY at meets, shows and dealerships.

It is futuristic, masculine, aggressive, different and original and aerodynamic.

HEre is the one bitkahuna talked about at the LFA event we went to. THe guy was VERY cool, let us sit in it and talked to us for a long time.

It was by far the best looking GT-R I have ever seen!!

I see plenty of them here in the chi almost as often as I see 911's. A fail that I have noticed is G35's with Gt-R body kits

you're right. its almost as rarely seen as the IS F, i think. i typically see the same GTR around my neighborhood (i kno, cuz ive already memorized the plate). it is a remarkable car in person. the looks are amazing- sharp lines, great performance, but the backside looks a little bulky IMO. i do see more R8's than GTR's, which is good cuz i still prefer GTR over the R8.

They sell very few of them per year so I would never call them a dime a dozen

Saw a couple GTRs, a few R8s, but the best one was a GTR in a used car lot. No, it was not a dealor lot. It was next to some BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, etc...

It depends on your location. Some places a Bentley is common to see.

I agree with others that seeing it in the street, it is too big and bulky to really stand out and be noticed by regular, non-car enthusiasts (regular people). Combined with a lack of a distinctive exhaust note, that is the big reason why this car is not noticed.

Are you sure about that? Do you have any proof?
