Saw my first GT-R today

I've seen 3 on the street in the 2 years they've been on sale. It's still a very rare sight for me and I keep my eye out for cars like this.
BTW I don't think it matters how often you see them if the car is awesome enough. None of that makes a car any less special in my view.

i see one everyday car is huge, it is almost as wide or wider than the 2010 750il that park next to it car is not that special until you pass some slow porsches and ferrari like it is standing still.. maintance is not an issue on these car unless track the car then it does get expansive.. Normal street driving it is cheaper to maintain a GTR than any modern Porsche.

Well I might be a GT-R fanboi but I love it to this day. It does not get old to me. I've seen PLENTY at meets, shows and dealerships.
It is futuristic, masculine, aggressive, different and original and aerodynamic.
HEre is the one bitkahuna talked about at the LFA event we went to. THe guy was VERY cool, let us sit in it and talked to us for a long time.
It was by far the best looking GT-R I have ever seen!!

I dont think many people have seen them. They look amazing in person. In a magazine not as much. In person you see how wide and long it is. The GTR is no small car. I am one of the biggest fans and want to buy one but the ownership agreement and tranny issues scare me a bit. I am a fan of Godzilla but the ownership agreement is a killjoy......at least for this perspective buyer.

you're right. its almost as rarely seen as the IS F, i think. i typically see the same GTR around my neighborhood (i kno, cuz ive already memorized the plate). it is a remarkable car in person. the looks are amazing- sharp lines, great performance, but the backside looks a little bulky IMO. i do see more R8's than GTR's, which is good cuz i still prefer GTR over the R8.

I agree with others that seeing it in the street, it is too big and bulky to really stand out and be noticed by regular, non-car enthusiasts (regular people). Combined with a lack of a distinctive exhaust note, that is the big reason why this car is not noticed.
Are you sure about that? Do you have any proof?
