Saw my first GT-R today
Wicked, wicked, wicked and more wicked.
Unbelievable car....I saw it from a distance and noticed the rear lights, I had to move to get up close and I turned and gave the driver a up....he game me the up back
An absolute A++ homerun by Nissan
I love how it does not wear a luxury badge
Also, it sounded amazing....

I dont think many people have seen them. They look amazing in person. In a magazine not as much. In person you see how wide and long it is. The GTR is no small car. I am one of the biggest fans and want to buy one but the ownership agreement and tranny issues scare me a bit. I am a fan of Godzilla but the ownership agreement is a killjoy......at least for this perspective buyer.

I almost see the same GTR everyday on our morning commute, but depends on what time we leave in the morning. It has a peronsalized plate of "WAITOVR." I guess it's a daily driver...

Tons of them here in Metro Vancouver...first one I saw was last spring or so. I like it, but some colour choices make it very bland looking. Nothing special now, as there are somewhat common now.

Here in CA, GTR's are dime a dozen. Maybe its just me, I think the GTR is an impressive car, but I think it's lost it's hype. Plus the reliability and quality issues are something to ponder.

Up here in Canada, I've seen quite a few GT-Rs.
I think the Audi R8 has really taken away the hype from the GT-R.
Nobody even glances around here when a GT-R drives by, it's almost like it's a regular Nissan coupe that just blends in.
Anytime an R8 drives by it gets lots of stares.
The GT-R is impressive the same way a Corvette or 911 Turbo is impressive. Sure they both have impressive specs and performance, but there is nothing else particularly special, unique, or exotic about them.
Corvettes or 911 Turbos don't get that many stares, and the GT-R is basically a Japanese version of the Corvette or 991T in terms of perception and what sort of status it has among average people. Of course the 991T and Corvette are more well-known generally in North America by the average person.
It also doesn't help that the GT-R has a very pedestrian and uninspiring exhaust note.
