Default What is the best Lexus (USED)

I'm looking for a used LS for 5k. Many I am finding are 1990-1995 with 140k plus miles.

Any year I should avoid buyer?

If you want the LS, get minimum 95, it is far better than 90-94.

a 1990 ls is 20 years old... why would you want a car so old?

As long as you can find one with the service records, you should be good. 92-96 SC's with the same engine are well into the 200K+ miles

98+ LS400 is the only way to go...it far better then the other LS400's. They are not very expenive nowadays....under $10k all day...

Yeah the 95 is the redesigned 2nd gen so I would go for that.

Because, in most cases, that is the only way one can get an LS for $5,000. I agree, though, that it is a questionable purchase, for a number of reasons.

I would pick any Lexus from the last gen, I dunno if that falls into your budget but I think the build quality, fit & finish was better on the last run. Maybe a GS300 fits your requirements?

I like the last generation LS. Classic IMO.
