Three letters to avoid at all costs: A B C

My father was in the market for a 2004-2005 CL500 until we read up on owner's issues with failure of the ABC system leading to very expensive repairs. Check this out:

Boy, I really want to buy a car with a write-up like that!
At somewhere about 60k miles somekind of axle bushings was worned out and had to be replaced, cost me about $1500.00. At the same time, the car suspension was going up and down on its own sitting idle. Mercedes Benz diagnosed it and said that the valve blocks for the ABC system (active body control) needs to be replaced. That will cost another $3700.00. I did not have it replaced because the car was not going up and down on its own while driving.
If the hydraulic valve blocks were leaking, causing the car to cycle up and down, I suspect that a teardown and replacement of the o-ring seals on the valve bodies would have fixed the problem - for a couple hundred bucks at a good hydraulics shop.
Just recently the ABC pump went out and needs to be replaced. That will cost another $2500.00.
Well, duh! If the body was constantly cycling through its suspension travel it would eventually wear out the pump. That's what you get for ignoring a small problem.
Now its got problems with somekind of electronics that will not let me use the windshield wipers and blinking tailights.
Uh . . . check fuses?

A first generation GS300, every day, and twice on sunday.

I've driven the M3, completely disappointed. Now, a fist Gen converted to a 500rwhp Aristo, that's more like it.
