Objectively, I give it props for outright performance.
Subjectively, I don't like it. Why put an American/Mexican drivetrain in a Japanese luxury sedan? These sorts of projects just seem weird to me. Would have been cooler to have some sort of Toyota drivetrain in there.

Ollllldddd Newwwsssss. Jay and the shop he worked with did build a sick car though.
Because the LS-series is better. Debate all you want about heritage and brand loyalty, but there's no de-throning the king of v8's in price/horsepower, racing pedigree (Le Mans *cough*), or total aftermarket support.

"Better" Is relative. The 1UZ can do amazing things, and while it might be more expensive to tune, you wouldn't need a custom kit to fit it in the GS.
To each his own I guess.

It's the same thing when Mazda guys put LS motors in their RXs. It just makes me feel icky.
