That's not really much more than a loaded up AWD '09 Sienna.

Uh--who supplies the gas pedal??

Weird timing of the comparison test given that the redesigned 2011 Odyssey is set to be unveiled this week at the auto show.

I think the Sienna is 100% made in Japan.

It should not involve any of the Canadian-made pedals with issues.

The Toyota Sienna is exclusively made for the North American market and is built exclusively in the US at TMMI Indiana. The 1st gen Sienna was built alongside the Camry and Avalon at TMMK - Kentucky.

So if you don't like the cost, don't get so many options. It's as simple as that.

I was looking at the build function. I currently have a 04 LE with basically no packages except for 16" rims, and I remember the sticker was closer to 27K. I just did a '11 LE with no packages at all, and it came out 32K...granted there are more standard features.

thats a big difference. In the press conferance, they said that they improved packaging by like 40% and made it "easier" and less confusing to configure the car. Looks like all they did was eliminate most of the packages and options and just tacked them on as standard features on each grade.

32K for a 2010 LE? The Toyota USA website shows the 2011 model?

I just did a 2011 Sienna LE FWD configuration with no selected options using 91146 as a zip code.

2011 TOYOTA SIENNA FWD, 3.5-Liter V6, LE 8-passenger, 6-Speed Automatic BASE MSRP: $28,900

Anti-theft System with Options $220 - (Forced regional option)
Exterior: Super White
Interior: LE fabric in Light Gray $0
Delivery, Processing & Handling Fee $800

MSRP* $29,920

How are you getting $32K?

calculate inflation and price is actually less than in 2004.... and a lot more standard features. Of course, you ar comparing to new LE... base Sienna is 26k. 2010 base Sienna gets 17" alloy wheels, 6 speed AT, LED backlights, 9 airbags, etc.

I would hope a NEW van beats one in its last model year. That said the Odyessy is still damn good.
I'm hoping for a test on the SE model.

I'd get a Sienna AWD as a Tahoe wagon. Throw some Blizzaks on it and a Thule snowboard rack and I'll be set

sorry, i meant 2011, not '10

for 94121, for the LE 7 passenger, you are forced to get AWD, which makes the price $31,930
