Turning 17 in less then a month is what i meant by "about 17" and i have no idea, lawyer just told me what i got and i didn't ask questions, My friend who went with out a lawyer who got pulled over doing 13 over the same day i was pulled over by the same cop got 2 parking tickets at $85 dollars each, he also had a lawyer but one from Buffalo, it is all who you know i am assuming, especially since he has had his license for about 7 months longer then me

They aren't. It does not make sense to ask the police a question that is ultimately decided by the courts. I believe the options are a guilty plea with a fine, a no contest fee with a fine, traffic school (but probably not if you're 17), or not guilty and a dismissal. The judge has discretion over the fine from what I understand. If the officer does not show up in court when the defendant pleads not guilty, the case is dismissed.
On second thought, that does sound rather complicated.

Ha, i don't want to be older, just figured that im close to 17 haha, and i guess the stigma that all teens, or most, are reckless drivers followed me, lesson learned and i won't do it again, especially after being let of so "lightly" considering the situation.
