4.2l V8 from the RS4, 450hp and 317 ft lb of torque. Frankly I kind of expected it to have more power than that.

Torque is okay but not great (due to high revving). IS-F has 376lbs for instance.
Still a fantastic car though.

well if this car is to compete with the c63 and m3, then the numbers sound about right. it falls into that category anyway. they can't really boost it up more, it just won't reach the m6 league (as is the price is going to be shocking already). too bad no MT
and there's no plan to bring this car over to the US yet? wtf???

You recall incorrectly as the RS4 was 75k AFTER options and the RS4 convertible was 80k after options. Base price of 90k would be too much for a RS5. Then it would cost close to E63, M5/M6, Masterati, 911 S, etc. I think they will price it around 80-85k fully loaded.

still, at 85k fully loaded for rs5 (assume that's true), i think that's still too much money for a coupe (not even convertible). considering that a really really loaded m3 coupe it's about 70k i believe

Well, thats assuming the RS5 has "only" 450 hp with a V8. Then I would say 80k should be the max price. But if somehow this car has a V10 with close to 480-500 hp then It can cost 85-90k.

What a beautiful car! I love the S5 and this takes it to another level. It'll sit oh so pretty on the flat bed on its way to the dealer for repairs.
As with all Audi products, I'm not holding my breath on the price. I expect it to be priced above competitors. 75-85k sounds about right.
