Rv8j - gt300 3.0l v8

The name of the engine is "RV8J". It is a 3.0L V8 that is used in the GT300 Lexus IS350. There is like no information about these engines, as I assume Toyota wants it like that. I figured someone out there might know something more of the specifics...

I think this is the back side of the motor, it looks like a DOHC seeing the size of the cylinder heads. They would be extremely long pushrods, and I don't think toyota has bult a cam-in-motor engine.

Would love to see some variant of this make it into a production car. Small displacement, high revving v8 sounds nice. Not sure it would really ever have a place in the Lexus/Toyota lineup though.
Maybe they can make it an option on the new upcoming FT-86!

RV8J is used in the GT300 IS350 as well as the Formula Nippon Lola FN06.
