i too was wondering where the supra was in that mix. from a global perspective, the supra is one of the marquee vehicles in the toyota lineup. i still dream of getting back my old supra and working on her from time to time. it is a timeless classic that i still get all crazy for everytime i see one on the streets, which is all too rare here.

I love Toyota for the MR2, Supra, and Lexus.

Here are 6 reasons I can think of
1. The Fords my family bought turned out to be complete POS
2. The GM my family bought turned out to be a complete POS
3. The Hyundai I bought was always a complete POS
4. I totaled a GS 400 and walked out with 3 other buds in the car and we still threw our party the next night b/c we were fine.
5. Where the hell else am I going to find a 340hp CVT 25 MPG car that does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds?
6. If it wasn't for Toyota people would still laugh at Japanese cars.

And all three companies, today, are doing some pretty good stuff.

4. I totaled a GS 400 and walked out with 3 other buds in the car and we still threw our party the next night b/c we were fine.
Glad you guys weren't hurt.

Are you talking about the Nissan CVTs? They are the only CVTs I know of, in the American market, that are used with engines in the 300 HP class. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Yes, overall, I have to agree.....although it was Honda that revolutionized engine design back in the 1970s and gave us the first mass-produced FWD Japanese subcompact....the Civic, in 1973.

It did.

The stealth had the AWS as well as electronic controlled suspension, electronic controlled exhaust, but no active aerodynamics package.

If it wasn't for Toyota, all the other makes you listed would still be a bunch of POS

And so would many other brands. I didn't fully realize how much I love Lexus until I got a bmw.

His car

I find it funny that the US gov't is taking Toyota to trial. They were the ones that made their own companies better (GM/Ford/Chrysler).
