Default InsideLine: 2010 S5 (3.0T V6) vs 2009 S5 (4.2L V8)

It's easier to look at the numbers if I just provide the hyperlink, so here we go:

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...-s5-coupe.html

Interesting numbers, but it's important to notice that the 2010 is about 400 lbs heavier than the 2009, no doubt due to the fact that it's a convertible. The article states that the V6 is also lighter than the V8 so I'm guessing that if comparably equipped, an S5 coupe vs S5 coupe, the 2010 would take the 2009.

What are your thoughts?

So far the comparo is apples to oranges.......but I think we get the ideas here.

IMHO though:
Even if the 3.0 TT V6 has lesser horsepower than the old 4.2 V8 unit, torque is still same amount.......and the lighter weight of the engine plus the use of S-tronic DSG gearbox (compared to the old model which is stick shift only) should benefit faster acceleration, fuel economy and whatnot.

It looks like the newer model will be the old one imho. The engine downsizing worked in their favor this time

I'm a Audi fan boy here. And glad they bringing sexy back and stop with these v8 none add on cars.

Audi since you're making a supercharged S5. Can we see a Supercharged turbo RS5?????
