Actually. I believe (or rather want to believe) that it isn't..........cause if it were, then it is not enough. It's more than worthy of replacing the M156 (and possibly the M159 in the future if wanted).......but not worthy of replacing M275 if it does not have at least 600 horses and 1000 Nm of torque as I said...

Thing is: Is there a guarantee that we will see an S65 AMG in the next version? Or would they kill just like rumors of Audi killing the W12 version?

I hope to God that does not happen

New A5 weighs in under 3000 lbs. With the 2.0L turbo, the car is fast and efficient...We new more of this.

This tech is also supposed to come in the Q5, Q7, and I would assume the rest of the Audi lineup eventually. But who knows what it will cost.

I guess once this thing hit the street. I can start looking for an old CLS63.
Sometimes I wonder about Mercedes and where their headed. One thing I can say is that I love the fact that they say if you’re going to talk sh it you better bring a gun vs. a knife to the fight.

that's awesome!

i most definitely hope manufacturers can pay just as much effort on weight reduction than hp gain

That thing looks like a beast. I drove the X5 M that has BMW's twin turbo V8 and that thing drove AWESOME! Twin turbos definitely change the game, but I think alot of manufacturers are going to be moving towards this FI platform for emissions/fuel economy/performance reasons.

On the other side of things, the maintenance on turbo (and twin turbo) engines can get expensive due to oil leaks and other failures. Especially with manufacturers telling clients they can wait 15k miles for an oil change, turbo's definitely don't like that.

Can't wait to hear more about this!

Definitely looking forward to the "new" E55 or CLS55. One thing I will miss about the outgoing 6.3 series is the engine noise / exhaust note on these cars. The current C63, E63 and SL63 sound downright nasty...in a good way.

MB said several years ago that they would be focusing on reducing weight. This info. suggests otherwise.

I'm waiting for Lexus to announce their twin turbo v8 in the next ISF or GSF, but I'm sure the wait will out be eternal.
