People in Dubai do not live on a big pile of sand. They are very wealthy and cultured people who live in palaces compared to the stuff we live in. The city is beautiful and very modern. I have many friends who live there and they are ballin. They are out of law school and already live in beach front apartments in a high rise building. Its truly impressive

I suppose it's great if you are not a slave and are able to turn a blind eye to slavery.

"The thing you have to understand about Dubai is – nothing is what it seems," Karen says at last. "Nothing. This isn't a city, it's a con-job. They lure you in telling you it's one thing – a modern kind of place – but beneath the surface it's a medieval dictatorship."

Saudi Arabia guys, not Dubai.
Great pics. Thanks for sharing it over here Rashoodz.
It gives me a greater appreciation for the LX and LC, knowing that it's the choice for those who live in extreme climates, where breaking down in the middle of nowhere is not an option.

I've been to Dubai on business (Abu Dhabi too). While the city is new and shiny, cultured is not the word I would use to describe it.
Lebanon has culture; Damascus has culture. Dubai has an indoor ski slope and the worldest tallest office tower.
Are your friends ballin like the other foreigners on the link below?

Dubai is Vegas for the middle east
