True.

Convertibles (and motorcycles ) are never rational purchases. It's a very emotional one.

And people pay extra money for emotional purchases, whether it's a car or a bike or any frivolous gift you can think of...

i will say i didn't care for the f-sport exhaust sound though. sounded more like a tricked out civic at WOT.
bold statement!!

A few of us have reported the same thing. I feel the same way. The IS F-sport does feel more nimble and I would prefer it on short auto crosses. On a longer, larger course the power of the IS-F would be more useful and have a huge advantage.

I am a very big fan of the IS F-sport.

Add me to that list. I own an ISF, but I like the balance of a full F-Sport car, both sedan and convertible. The F-Sport feels just right, as the stock suspension setup of the ISF is a few notches above in stiffness.

i am glad i wasn't the only one neither. i felt it quite a while ago during the isf training school event (and the free event the day after), where we drove the isf and fsport cars back to back on the same track (autocross). the isf is more suitable for larger faster track where its power can really shine, the fsport felt more nimble (lighter?) and more balanced around short tight track. isf i felt myself was fighting with the car a lot more

Alot of it has to do with chassis balance. The ISF has a nearly 50/50 weight ratio, but it is a heavy car. I actually got the best times in a stock IS350 during the Lexus Performance Driving Academy we all went to a few years back.

These are the same wheels that debuted last year at SEMA 2009 on this car:

The new F-Sport rims are nice

They also look harder to clean

Here are a few more shots of the wheel up close on the F-Sport SEMA 2009 project car. Note the body kit on this car is a one off prototype. There are no plans for it to be manufactured.
