They did quite well despite the recall and hearings in Congress.

Both the Corolla and Camry were down 6.1% and 19.8% respectively. From the Feb sales although the Camry finished 2nd, it was within a few hundred units of finishing 4th, behind Fusion and Altima. This is a segment the Camry usually wins easily. Camry clearly has taken the biggest hit.

The tC sold only 860 units in February, down 28.5%. At 13.5% of the segment, the segment size is less than 6,400 total units. How many competitors are in this sporty subcompact segment?
From how I see it, Toyota took quite a pounding in relation to their chief rivals. Down 8-9% isn't really that much, but when your rivals are posting double digit gains while you're posting a lost, that's not good. In the bigger picture, this will be a small bump for Toyota, so long as something more doesn't come out from the intense scrutiny. The worse case could be if the electronic throttle/software gets tied as the root cause of most of the sudden unintended acceleration. Then to me the floodgates will open up against Toyota, considering how vehemently they are fighting the electronics as the cause.

With complainings keeps coming out, and media keeps reporting it loudly, more and more people will walk away from Toyota/Lexus eventually.

Toyota needed to post something positive, even if they had to spin it. They still lost a lot of market share. I unfortunately don't see them bouncing back anytime soon.

This is a post I would normally expect to see in the monthly sales thread. The facts of the matter are indisputable in the form of the sales chart from Toyota. The interpretation of the facts can be spun in many ways. Below is how Toyota fared against GM, Ford, Honda, and Nissan in Feb 2009 and 2010.
GM(core) refers only to its remaining Cadillac, GMC, Buick, and Chevy divisions
The RX is the bread and butter of Lexus. Interesting that Lexus itself managed to increase sales 5.2% dispite the RX being down by 8.4%
Both the Corolla and Camry were down 6.1% and 19.8% respectively. From the Feb sales although the Camry finished 2nd, it was within a few hundred units of finishing 4th, behind Fusion and Altima. This is a segment the Camry usually wins easily. Camry clearly has taken the biggest hit.
