it's very consistent. grill is basically the same and similar shapes on headlights, all of them has now 'schreyer lines'.
and hyundai is going more sculptural/organic direction in their new cars with more provocative creases and hexagonal grills. two very different offerings.

kia's new offering gets me very excited. i'm a big peter Schreyer fan. He just came up with the best looking Kia to date IMO.
and i'm excited because this will probably cheaper than Sonata and will start at 18k most likely. and if it has 2.4 GDI then this might be a strong contender in my next purchase. whatever i'm buying next year, it will be an affordable midsize car. baby is coming and house comes first.

that looks good enough to be a entry luxury sedan save for interior which we haven't seen yet.
lookt like it's good enough to be mentioned with Regal, CC and TSX.
just imagine a different badge other than kia's. yes, it's very hard look past the badge because Kia's brand reputation is still not there. but squint your eyes and imagine a VW badge or no badge at all. you will see what i'm talking about.

if it drives half as good as it looks this will be a winner.

A decent offering, if still quite unoriginal. Kind of getting tired of these Korean companies either copying everything out there or totally changing their design theme with each new redesign. This kills brand resale and admits to constant failure.
But it's in the details they are most lost. Kia's new corporate grille doesn't cut it. It's uneven, out of balance, busy, and has no class. The whole thing looks like the uneven road surface symbol of a construction sign or a lego block. How is the shape of a lego elegant? And these rims are hard on the eyes. Are the spokes the same? Are they staggered? Why make them staggered if they almost look the same thickness? It takes too much time for the eye to figure this all out. Lastly, there is way too much going on with the LED strip and foglight. Either integrate them all into one module or have one or the other. Stacking them ontop each other is rundundant and overdone. Is this the genious thinking of that heralded Audi designer? I am disappointed.
Again, it's the details. GM makes the same mistakes with their cars.

Holy crap! I think I actually like it better than the Sonata. I don't know why but I'm really liking Kia's new grille.
Does anybody else see a little bit of Honda's classic "H" in that shape?

love how they reduced the size of the badge. if they aren't going to redesign the logo, then just make it very small.
