Certainly not in this thread, but a bit on this forum (in another thread), and mostly on other forums I saw plenty of people claiming the Cadenza would be coming to North America as the next-gen Optima. Clearly, this is not the case.
How about, the cars will be hard to distinguish on the road? They will age quite poorly? You're right, most people couldn't identify a Kia, but this new styling language doesn't solve that problem. The new Kia models have a big mix of styling cues from different competitors. These new models won't stand out as a Kia either, because people will probably mistake them for Hondas, or Fords, or some other brand. Even look at the tiny, non-descript badge on new Kia models. It's as if even Kia itself doesn't want their new models to be identified as Kias.

Hyundai is now #1 in brand loyalty.
basically your theory is completely wrong. hyundai owners love new hyundais.

Hyundai isn't #1 in brand loyalty. that's an overstatement if I've ever seen one. Currnet owners are researching Hyundais more than current owners of other brands. They haven't actually bought Hyundais over the competition yet. WAIT FOR A REAL STUDY THAT OUTLINES SALES BEFORE JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS.

i didn't report that. tell that to KBB. obviously study is legit because honda/toyota ranks top 3.
anyway, TRD said many times that current hyundais will ailienate previous hyundai buyers because it looks completely different.
100% wrong IMO.

Like I said we need to see a real study. KBB is probably trying to capitalize on the Hyundai hype, but until we see concrete data that implies that Hyundai owners are buying Hyundai vehicles over other brands, I'd take things like this with a grain of salt...

Looks different but odd from the front and rear there. Its larger and with the tiny base wheels looks ridiculous. The side view is best.
Is that a fender vent?
Kinda Saabish?

This is very very exciting. i'm speechless right now. that really can't be a 19k car.
call me a homer all you want, but this got to be the most improved car in last few years even more so than sonata. current gen optima is probably top 7 most bland car on the road today.
