I agree that they are both attractive vehicles but I think many consumer who feel the same way will head to Hyundai.

I have a sonata rental car ( currently visiting family in NJ ) right now and am so impressedwith the ride quality, handling, power, interior, and even exterior improvments after the refresh. My rental car even came with a Garmin and XM radio. Most Lexus loaners dont have that

I believe all new Lexus have XM for a year. My last HS loaner had it.

I also agree with Joe that van prices are nuts to me. 40k? Wow.

Lexus XM is 3 months, I think that is almost the standard protocol. I think I got 6 months with my benz though

Virtually all Toyota models have auto up/down for all 4 windows, something a lot of the competition does not have.

Granted this was more than a few years ago but my IS300 and my Sienna only has it for the driver.

Have as in "available" in the xle/limited editions, but not the lowly LE and CE

No, this has just recently been phased in.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was the only Toyota to have up/down auto for all windows. The 2005 Toyota Avalon debuted with auto up/down windows for the front only and recently wit the 2008 refresh added the all four windows.

The Tundra Platinum only offers it on the front
last gen 4runner only offered it on the drivers side window
Sequoia offers this on the front only.
Venza/Pirus now offers all four.

I wasn't sure of the new 4runner, it looks like what was once a lexus only feature is now being phased into all Toyota's....its nice to see. Now lets cover all of those exposed seat anchors..

Interesting that the 2.7L Sienna only gets you 1 MPG in the city. Kind of defeats the point.

Sucks that the 2.7L only nets you 1 MPG in the city over the 3.5L.

yeah i noticed that too when it first came out. Probably because it has to work harder to get to the same speed. i dont think a lot of people will get the 4 cyl unless its a lot cheaper

8 americans avg at 160 pounds = 1280 lbs + 4275 lbs of van = 5555 lbs propelled by 187 horsepower. Th ats not going to be pretty (and that weight calculation is being generous )

p.s. with a Cd of .309, its better than the RX...
