Default How To Tell If Your Toyota's Gas Pedal Is Defective.

I've discovered a foolproof way to find out if your Toyota or Lexus vehicle is susceptible to sudden unintended acceleration. First, open the drivers door. Now, look down at the floor so that you can see those pedal thingies. Do not get in the car, Just look at the pedals. Now, if you can spot which one is the brake, and which one's the gas, you're car is fine, and is not a run-a-way candidate.
Be safe!

Ahh, but the problem lies not in the eyes, but in the foot. Does your foot know the difference between the two, grasshopper?

I always thought that was part of the driving test to get your license. Where you have to move your foot from the gas to the brake?

At least 250 times each, practice makes perfect (and cooked front brakes too).

LHD or RHD the brake pedal is always the one on the left (or in the middle if there is a clutch pedal).

I will hold my hand up and say I've got into a car in the US and gone "whoa..where's the steering wheel?", only to realise I'm sat in the passenger's side not the driver's side. Force of habit.

Yes, I've driven manual tranny cars in England in RHD cars, good fun with some challenges.

My Lotus Seven is right hand drive and it all came natural, shifting with the left hand, pedal location the same, etc. The only problem I ran into was you can't see around the left to pass.
