Wow, cool report! Have any pics of the plane landing experience?
Also got me thinking of the times I've been to the Audi Driving Experience at Fontana. Seems like they do the same type of program, but in a shorter timeframe. Also no cost for it. Pretty trick either way!

lol, no, no pics on the runway escort it was hectic enough and everyone was just happy we ended up on land than water. it's funny as soon as they said prepared for emergency landing, people starting thinking about hudsen river type of scenario. but i will just say, the words "brace for impact" are no fun...

Great Pics and Write up.

I am a firm believer in performance driver training, the more the better. I guarantee some day it will come in handy.

yup, it's not just about speed, equally important is safety and i like how they stressed that part a lot during the day. the skid pad training alone is very useful

I absolutely agree, and I will be attending a performance driving school the end of April at Willow Springs $695, and I drive my F the second half of the day. We too will be doing the skid pad, and I think that is the exercise I am looking forward to most.

Great writeup Henry. I'd have come down to see you if I knew you were coming... not all that far away.

We've done a small event down there with the BMW club, neat little track.

Was Mike Renner the lead instructor in your session? Did you get a chance to do the factory tour as well?

yeah, i actually talked to mike too. it was a rush trip (more on that later) and if more time allowed, i would have hit you and mike up. i actually looked at the map to see how far it was from NC

but now i have more incentives to do the 2 day class so i will have more time hanging out with you!

yup, mike renner was our lead instructor that day. you know him? i have to say, he's one hell of an instructor, and he's serious about it. i have to say he was the most critical on me that day, kicking my *** on my every turn!

too bad we couldn't do the factory tour, i believe it was included as part of the vehicle delivery package?

i was actually thinking about this. looking at the absolute value of 1300 bucks for a day, i know most people will say it's a lot of money. but put things in perspective (hote, transportation, meals, instructors, facility, cars, gas, tires, etc...), is it really that costly? i don't know the answer, but something tells me bmw is more like doing this to please customers and provide full package, than to profit
