It looks the interior material were GREATLY cheapened compared to the Euro model, so the price will probably be a bit lower here in the US than the Euro models price. Just look at the seating fabric...
This thing was cheapened to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if it was $10K or slightly below.

let's hope Toyota prices it lower here in the US, because I can't see many people getting this car if it cost more than a Yaris. The Smart Fortwo cost less than that...

I was very hyped about this car when it debuted but now I like it but don't love it. I am very happy it is here though. MPG is going to be a crucial selling factor as price. As we can see SMART sales are a pittance now.
This thing is a engineering and packaging marvel but that point will be lost on people who just bash tiny cars.
