I am sure the engines will be amazing, but the 2010 V-6 convert I rented in Vegas last month left me feeling like a 16 year old driver.
I was excited to drive the 2010 Stang, but I felt so disconnected from the car it was crazy. I was in the Hoover Dam parking garage and I swear i thought I was going to hit all the parked cars. There is no feel in the steering, and the sight lines are horrible. It took me an entire day to feel comfortable in the car, I have never had that happen before with any car.
I seriously though I was driving a Ford Cargo Van...
Infact I think that I had about as much fun driving that Mustang as I did with the 17 Foot Uhaul truck I used when I moved 2 years ago.
The car just did not inspire confidence to drive fast.
To contrast, my Dad just picked up a used WRX recently and the steering on that thing feels like a slot car, and the Mustang was just BLAHHH, its no comparison..
I wonder if they changed the suspension in 2011...

The new engine looks and sounds awesome.
The new 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 DOHC Aluminum engine is no longer a straight line muscle car, but a track car. Get rid of the stripes, and this makes a great car. I am estimating the new 2011 Ford Mustang GT will have a time of 3:06.0 which will put it in the same territory as the BMW M3, but with better gas mileage 17/26, 14/20, 16/23, and 15/23 respectively, 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, BMW M3, Lexus ISF with 8 speed auto, and 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Domestic engines, qualities, and cars are starting to look better than Japanese imports. The new 2011 Ford Mustang GT wins in a lot of categories besides exclusivity. If you want exclusivity, low reliability and low dependability after the warranty expires, BMW M3, and if you want exclusivity, high reliability and high dependability, Lexus ISF will be your pick. Remember the more exclusive the car is, the great the cost; thus exclusively is proportional to cost.
