New York 2010: 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon is lovable, but somewhat underwhelming

The lines are blurred in this kind of vehicle no doubt, but the point is the Venza (which could be called a "tall crossover wagon") has enjoyed more sales success than other traditional sedan based wagons. It's not just a comparison of Venza vs. TSX wagon, it's more about a type of vehicle that American buyers actually prefer and actually buy.

And there's the Outback, too, which has, for years, virtually owned this segment in the U.S. The new Crosstour is a player, too, but I don't think it is going to be a major one for some time, though it is starting to show some signs of life in the D.C. area. That's why I'm surprised that Acura won't (as yet) go with an AWD TSX wagon.
I too am a bit mystified by the lack of AWD on TSX wagon, but maybe we shouldn't be when we see how poorly the RDX sells with AWD. Acura's issues are of its own making.
