You know LED xmas lights are played out when........

Regardless, I still take fault in people here complaining about this. The only difference between the way Mercedes and Porsche use the LED compared to Audi, Hyundai and Kia is that Mercedes and Porsche didn't put the LEDs in the headlamp unit and instead put them elsewhere on the bumper. I mean, if that's the only difference we're talking about, we could say Lexus is copying Audi with the CT and LS headlamps. But no one's saying that...
(Not to mention, the new Kia Optima's LED DRL's are on the bumper, not in the headlamp. So are they being TRAILBLAZERS, LIKE PORSCHE AND MERCEDES? Or are they simply copying Mercedes and Porsche now too?)

I'm by no means a Hyundai/Kia fanatic, but you have to give credit where credit's due. Recently they've been putting out some really good product. If it were based on looks alone, I definitely go with a Hyundai (at least with the Genesis or Sonata). I really can't comment on their reliability, but I haven't really heard anything bad about them. They surely have less recalls then Toyota has....

I don't care really; whoever wants to use them, go ahead. They look nice. There are other things much more important to me than which mfr. is now using LED DRL's. I mean, when Kia starts using HID's are there going to be complaints about that also?

Oh I know, needs more LEDs .
Audi is getting out of control with putting LEDs on everything. I hope this fad dies down soon. People are putting LEDs on everything now. I see aftermarket LEDs on Jeeps nowadays .
There is nothing wrong with LEDs themselves, and I know some markets now require LEDs by law, but that doesn't mean they should look ridiculous. It doesn't mean an automaker can't make a tasteful design.

I dont see anything wrong with the Q7. I mean the yellow LEDs are just for turn signals, which I think more cars should have. The LEDs around the entire headlamp might be a bit much, but I dont think its offense.
this is much more ugly...

The ~2006 Kia Amanti had some funky front turn signals a while ago. They really stood out when activated. Interestingly, I think they were one of the first to use front LED turn signals.
I don't find the Q7's display obnoxious, but I do think LED's look much classier and cleaner when they are in a light tube rather than as seperate "bulbs."
