Yeah, whatever and bfd, if I squint I can see something that vaguely looks like a Solara, not that it matters because the Genesis coupe looks and performs much better.
I saw a car like this but in red, and it didn't have Hyindai badge, but the same badge as the genesis sedan. It looked orgasmic, especially that it was riding next to two Acura TL's.
Notice that I bolded the "looks" part. IMO, the Genesis looks LEAST like a sports car and more like a Solara that someone remodeled with a hack saw.
I would disagree, a bit. The American Muscle cars don't really look like sportscars either. I think perhaps I draw a distinction between sports cars and Muscle Cars. The American Muscle cars at best look like beefed up GT cars, especially the Mustang. So in that sense, the Genesis Coupe does look the most like a "Sports" car too me too.
Agreed, the Camaro, Mustang are attractive retro-styled pony cars, with a modern twist of course. The pony car styling comes at a price, resulting in mediocre aerodynamics, large footprints, high curb weights.
From this foursome I would probably take the Dodge Challenger based on looks alone. I've always been a fan of MOPAR and to me the muscle cars of Chrysler Corp. always were the most alluring. I love the retro design the of the new Challenger, too.
why not? Genesis Coupe competes with those bad boys. RWD, affordable V6? am I missing something here?
i'm not surprised. Gen Coupe won't compete with the v8 monsters, but against v6, it's an awesome ride. Gen Coupe v6 is the best drivers car under 28k IMO.
anyway, mustang homers are going crazy right now.. haha.
Genesis coupe may compete on paper, but I doubt that the majority of "muscle car" shoppers would be cross-shopping against the Genesis coupe. The Nissan Z would seem to be a more natural competitor with the Genesis coupe than the American muscle cars.
