If it is going to start around $80 thousand, I rather spend an extra $7,000 dollars and start looking at the new E63 or the M5.

That said, I think the USD price will be a little lower.
I have to say "not exactly" to the bolded part here.

Yeah. Something's wrong with that picture...
Exactly.

$40k+ more than an S5. Hell, you could just about buy an S5 AND an A5 for the cost of this car.

I'd be looking at 911's or audi R8's in that range.
I was just saying looking at numbers, which you used to say the RS5 was overpriced, the LFA is overpriced. I never said that the LFA wasn't a technical tour de force.

Why even bring the LFA up? Overpriced based on a A4 and an overpriced exotic arenapples to oranges.

It's funny the same people crapping on the LFA price are supporting this one. Lol

Ugh. I should clarify.

I'm implying that numbers should not be the factor in determining whether a car is overpriced. Going by by what the OP said, I was just using the LFA as an example that numbers don't mean anything really. I'm not crapping on the LFA, it is an incredible car.

i am sure someone already brought it up...
direct conversion doesn't work. the LS460, if you do a direct conversion, cost about 200,000 USD in China. (yes, that's 200k USD, a Lexus ES350 cost about 80k USD in China)

for 100k in U.S., you got to be a retard to not take R8 for the same price.
or, for 20k more, you can drive home a Aston Martin, or a Maserati GranTurismo.

I love the RS5 and would absolutely get one if I had the money. But at over 100k, I completely agree it is way overpriced. It should be priced closer the S5 not the R8.

I quickly checked Audi.ca and it starts at 65k CDN. RS5 should be around 75-80k CDN imo, if they bring it over here (unlikely as Canadian prices are usually higher than American). Makes good sense since the M3 starts at 71k here.

well this is not a Bently. This is just an Audi. I think this is way over priced just like any other audis. They are not even Tier 1 luxury brand.
What makes you say Audi isn't Tier 1? They sell more cars worldwide then Lexus, they have have performance models (RS) just like BMW's M or Mercedes AMG, they have LED running lights that distinguished them from other brands. Their interior material and design are among the best, and they have the R8 which most people would drool over, yet to see anyone do that with a Lexus. Overall, the performance of Audi could match any Mercedes or BMW or Lexus and so does their design and material.

agreed. no Audi should cost more than $100k except R8 or anything with w12

but Audi is Tier 1. don't be silly.
