Top 10 Douchemobiles
(some NWS ads on linked site)
What’s the difference between a porcupine and a (whatever car you loathe)? With a porcupine, the ****** are outside. Just as bad things happen to good people, bad people happen to good cars -- not to mention mediocre and lousy cars. When an otherwise innocent car’s reputation is sullied by some of the guys who drive them, you get a douchemobile.
Douchemobiles are not inherently bad cars. As you’ll see on the following pages, some are average. A few are great. All have image issues thanks to the guys who drive them and some distinguishing -- make that douche-tinguishing -- features, so consider yourself warned before you shop for these new and used rides.
It's a slide show...

No.1 - 1992-'10 Hummer
No model designation necessary here; whether it’s a Hummer 1, 2 or 3, it’s El Douchemobile Supremo (it’s also the vehicle that got us out of Iraq, then helped take us back, but that’s another argument). Except for the few owners who actually have a need and work them hard off-road, there’s never been a more perfect douchemobile to embody douchebag owners’ blissful ignorance, extreme arrogance and pride in both.
Douche-tinguishing feature: Only what’s between the front and rear bumpers

"Douche-tinguishing" - great new word.

Though I ocasionally comment on some of the drivers I see in them (like the over-aggressiveness and stupidity of many Mustang V8 drivers, or the snootiness/arrogance of some BMW drivers), in general, I have little concern for who owns and drives certain vehicles. I don't agree with the basic idea of the "douchemobile". I test, review, and write up a vehicle simply by its merits and overall competence, not its class of drivers.....in that mode, I know I'll probably never be a Jeremy Clarkson.
Of course, there are certain discernable patterns, such as older Buicks generally being driven by senior citizens, or VW Beetles (especially convertibles) driven by females. But that doesn't mean that young people don't drive Buicks, or males aren't seen in Beetles....I see my share of those, too.

^^^ I'm not sure what all those driver stereotypes (that have been brought up several times) have to do with the douchemobile cars.
I thought the the thread was about the top 10 Douchemobiles, kinda funny. But yes I agree, not worthwhile criteria for cars.
