lol i was like oh cool a v8 in the car i wonder what it is... i look at the pic and all i can say is FAIL LOL

Thank GOD it wasn't a V8 under the hood. I was thinking bastardized implant. I much rather see that Prelude motor under there. Over all now it looks like a pretty sweetly modded car. With a manual trans in there too? I wouldn't mind driving this car as a daily

That ain't no V8, that's a H22A in there...

And whoever modded this Accord tried to keep it a sleeper, but 6th gen Accord Special Edition wheels and red centercaps are a giveaway...

Yeah, that's some good police work on the tracing, especially considering that the VIN was scratched off. There are other ways of checking a car's ID without a VIN, such as the info on the date/plant-of-manufacture plate on the drivers' door jamb and under the hood, but it is more difficult and less accurate.

It's a shame they didn't get the person who actually stole it (assuming it wasn't the "owner" who actually pimped it).....he or she could use a stiff jail term. But, in general, the chances of actually catching car thieves, especially in a place like NYC, are not good.
