What year is her G35? If it is a newer one, that's something that should be a routine warranty repair. Infiniti, in the past, like Lexus, warrantied all their products for 4/50 bumper-to-bumper.....I believe it's now up to 4/60.

My G35 coupe has had the window motor go out on both sides and the door actuator broken but other than that, I've beaten the crap out of the car for 6 years without issues. LOVE the car and has been more reliable than my poor Lexus

By the way, I paid $1300 for a factory warranty extension ($0 deductible) for 8 years / 100k miles. Pretty cheap relative to the other luxury marquees.
