Yes... Completely different animals, nothing in common.
I've driven a 55AMG before. Insanely fast, aggressive, loud exhaust roar.
And just recently I had a chance to drive regular CL600. Violently fast, but so refined, you simply cannot hear the engine at all when cruising. Even at full throttle you only start hearing the engine near redline, and even then there isn't much to hear.
Just absolutely different setup and purpose between AMG and non-AMG cars.

no kidding, that's how i felt when i heard it. not that good at all
it's in the refinement. the v12 twin turbo is insanely smooth and it gets you to 130 without breaking a sweat. the 63 engine you will have to push it harder. very different setup.
to certain extend you can think of it as gs350 vs gs460 from 60-120
this one sounds more refined and deeper / meaner

I rather buy a cl63/c65 with this exhaust....this brand is straight up sex.
