To buy it or not??
A co-worker of mine will sell me his 2003 Lexus IS300 5 speed manual with factory navigation. Its the metalic blue with black leather. The car is a clean title and has 85k, the least he will take is $11,500... Worth it?

Inteior is perfect, no rips barley any wear in the leather. Runs perfect, ice cold a/c. The body is also great with very few scratches. Also has the factory spolier. He is also including his kenwood dvd/navi double din.

Looks clean, fairly low mileage, relatively rare 5 speed.
If you like the car, it's a great find, you'll be hard pressed to find one with lower miles. But I don't know about the price, you have to check what the market value on them is.

The IS300 was generally quite reliable (one of the most reliable cars in the Consumer reports data base), but had a few annoying quirks, most of them in the A/T and shifter design, which won't affect you since it is a manual (I had an IS300 for over 4 years). But check out the center climate/control ****......my IS300 had a tendency to often kick over, in and out, of the recirculate position when I wanted fresh air (it is supposed to go to fresh air, of course, in Defrost mode, to prevent fogging). I often had to re-set it myself. Also, don't expect very good gas mileage out of that in-line 6.....it guzzles premium gas like a V8.

Did a quick search and found 2 manual IS300s, both 2002, with about the same mileage for $10.5k. They're not located close to you though.
