Post Nissan Recalls 48k

JACKSON, Miss. – Nissan Motor Co. is planning to recall 48,700 trucks and SUVs for problems with a suspension part that could lead to a rough ride.

Spokesman Colin Price says the company is working on details with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and expects the recall to begin this week.

It will cover some, but not all, 2010 Nissan Armadas, Frontiers, Titans, Pathfinders and Xterras and Infiniti QX56 models.

The Armada, Titan and Infiniti QX56 are produced at the company's Canton plant. The Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra are produced at its Smyrna, Tenn., plant.

The problem centers on a lower suspension control link, which may not have been welded properly. It could cause the bushing collar to crack, leading to a rough and noisy ride. No accidents have been reported.

Quality glitches at Canton are old news.....that plant has had noted quality problems for years. Not so at the Smyrna plant, where problems are not unheard of, but are much less common. The Smyrna plant, in general, turns out pretty good vehicles.

There is probably an issue at the plant that the Venza is produced at. Its a great vehicle but definetly has some dash alignment and fitment issues. Why are these issues always seem to be in the American factories

thats by design... cheaper car. It has nothing to do with poor welding at specific Nissan factory, but the fact that you guys get cheapest cars in the world.

I have already posted several links to toyota forums that show that you are wrong again my friend.....wrong again. Its a lot of the Venzas. You should look things up before making your comments. With all due respect, it makes you seem foolish. ( no offense meant ). I thought you had "connections" at Toyota. You should know this

The complete irony here. I never said I was a Venza expert and I don't keep tabs on all things Toyota but you keep rehashing ONE Venza.

Upset owners get vocal on the internet. I can find links to ANY car with problems.

Oddly you came to the defense of the GT-R when it had transmission problems. Yet you are here beating up the Venza over the dash quality.

The fact is the thread is about Nissan quality and you brought up the Venza (again).

And quite frankly all this recall news over and over is ridiculous. There will ALWAYS be recalls.
