The low price of the regular v6 cayenne looked attractive. Then I added 30k of basic options that Lexus would offer in a package totaling no more than 10k. wow!

I do love this suv though. Very nice inside and out.

Hmmmmmmmm....
Good deal for you guys.

Up here:

Cayenne Turbo S = +$200K fully loaded (granted with lots of options I'd pass on)

X5M = $110K

You're right Henry.

It's only $187K for the regular Turbo well equipped.

For all it does, I think this is an exceptional price for an exceptional vehicle... and yep, $118K or $187K or even $70K is STILL a lot!!!

But I WANT it!!!

Meh. If I won the lottery I might consider an X5M or Cayenne Turbo, but I still don't really see the point in race inspired SUV's (even though I might have inquired about trading my F for an X5M ).

The wife and I have been discussing our vehicle future and think that 1 SUV (diesel of course or GTS) and a good sedan plus a true fun car might be where it's at....or 1 SUV and 1 sedan and 1 full size super sedan. A super powered SUV just doesn't really fit into the mix for us.

I hear ya both... practicality ALWAYS pops back in my mind as I run thru this....CDN, thinking EXACTLY the same...what about this scenario (one I'm considering):

Audi Q7 TDI- 600 miles to tank hwy, space for family and future towing
BMW Alpina B7 or Jaguar XFR or Cayenne hybrid S- daily driver
Mercedes SL63 AMG or Aston V8V convert or Jaguar XKR convert- fun

X5 diesel priced about $10K over the Q, and I thought the Q was even with it after driving back-to-back

As for Cayenne Hybrid S, as daily DD, have to wait til they arrive in July to test drive

Of course, the Missus says just get the Aston alone and be done with it

Russ, if you find a $100K-plus Cayenne Turbo cheaper than you expected (and can still afford one anyway), then please step to the top of this line:
