Anyways enough about that. If Lexus offers a GX570, then it should have slightly less output than the LX570. It doesn't make much sense if your little brother has as much power as you do, while being slimmer.
Why does it have to have less HP than it's big brother? Prior to the LX570, the LX470 had the same HP as the GX470. I think it was the same engine. The Lexus used the same engine in the LS430 as the GS430. Same concept and there was never a problem before.
GX premium loaded 70K... LX 76-82K... So it is only 6-12K more. It really isn't that much more for the LX570 since there aren't many options on the LX.
One more example how we get boned up here on pricing.

Because from a flagship standpoint, it doesn't make sense. Why spring for the LX570 if its little brother has as much power and the utility is almost just as good? It doesn't hurt, but its nicer for marketing purposes.

Having the same HP as the Flagships was never a problem before. I see a bigger marketing problem with selling a GX with only 300hp for 70K.
I'm not saying the base GX should have the 5.7, but why not the 62-70K GX premium. We should all remember that the LX has air bags all around, is significatly larger, plus all the bells and whistles that come with the flagship SUV, on top of the 5.7 engine for only 6K more than a loaded GX.
