Just like when guys here are drooling over JDM wheels, the guys in Japan that they mimic are actually rolling in Chrysler 300s , benzs, and BMWs on huge Asanti wheels.

Back when I had the Acura Legend, we used to try and set up exchange deals for JDM parts from the Japanese owners for our USDM parts. It really is all part of being different than the majority of similar cars in your area.

We should create some sort of exchange program. Those interested sign up, specify what they're looking for, swap!

I remember checking out Japanese blogs about the G37. Most of them remove their Nissan badges and change it to Infiniti, along with the 370GT & G37 badges. And what they do in the US is the opposite.

Yup...each time I'm there, I'll spot certain cars with USDM badges and the DUB type styling. Also see a variety of Cali plates on cars too, I dunno why California though. Like here, it is obvious when the plate doesn't match the year of the car. (Old plate new car or new plate old car. JDM plate for the wrong engine displacement.)

Have seen license frames from the well big city dealers. Saw Longo and Santa Monica Lexus frames in Fukuoka. This also goes with various stateside Toyota dealers too. They love American product...

Importing a US car in Japan is much more costly, and it has greater appeal.

A Cadillac CTS for instance probably costs twice as much as a Lexus GS or IS350 in Japan.
