Yes, I can tell if a car is going 90mph. Anyone knows when a car is hellaciously speeding.

But if they're trying to contest that a car was going only 10-15 mph over the limit visually, it would be a tough sell. Too many variables can make the "guess" incorrect.
It's easy to tell if a car is "speeding" by going way over the limit. But how do you write a ticket as to the actual speed, rather than a generic "reckless driving" ticket?

They have been issuing citations for decades prior to radar.

slipper slope cat is slippery

if they can "guess" on vehicle speeds what stops them from "guessing" on other matters like criminal matters. Heck by law even cops cant say a white powder in your car was cocaine. They do not have the training nor equipment right there to check. They have to send it to the lab to verify. On a report they have to say, "I found a material I suspect to be cocaine"

I agree there

"I'm writing you a ticket because it looks like you were going too fast"

then at the same time, often times around where i am, 5 lane freeway and everyone is driving 80+. then you lose the reference on whether someone is driving "too fast". the whole guesstimate game....
