Infiniti still doesn't get it and has dropped the ball on the M37/56

I don't like the look of the M. It looks like a bulbous wart. That said, it looks like it's got the specs, but the advertising isn't too good.

If I were looking to buy in that class of car, the M would not be on my list...mainly because of the looks.

Well, if since M is Infiniti's flagship, it is outselling flagships from all others premium makes, including LS, S class, 7, RL, A6 and so on :-P

Its their flagship like the ZDX but not a D class flagship.

didn't read the whole thread (tl;dr ) but the new infiniti m is ugly so no matter how great their advertising it wouldn't sell.

To me the M37/56 just don't have it for the brand's flagship. The exterior itself will push me away from buying it. Infiniti simply did not get it right for the new M (rebadged Nissan Fuga), same can be said to the new QX. I don't know if a perfect marketing/advertising will give the M37/56 more sales... it is sad for Infiniti.

Does the area you live in generally have this type of car on the road, my home area in NJ, has these all over the place, including Lexus Hybrids, Acura ZDX, and Honda Crosstours, people here choose the car they drive by how new and different it is, not really an intelligent move.

Where I go to school in ATL, it lacks the abundant amount of newly leased vehicles on the road, plenty of *****in cars though, and the German drivers drive like they own the roads

I have not seen any on the road yet either. I live and work in the Silicon Valley where you see many expensive cars on the road, so the M56 wouldn't even be considered anything special here. I can say the same thing for the Acura ZDX which I've also not seen on the road yet.

The recent RX ad shows how to do marketing. A smittering of little details about the car and how it mimics your everyday actions, such as the nav controller fitting your hand like a computer mouse, etc, followed by "All we ask is that you keep doing what you've always done" or something to that end.
