Wow no kidding. I've always seen "E46 M3" in your signature and assumed you were a man. The "6MT" also helped to further substantiate that presumption.

Your assumptions would be incorrect

The model with the highest level, the Volkswagen New Beetle, has more than 56 percent female registrations.
Only 56% female (or a little more?) And THAT'S the highest female percentage of any car? Damn, that just proves what I've said all along.........that, even with the Beetle, there's no such thing as a "Chick" car.....in this case, 44% (or slightly less) are male. That's a lot of males, especially for the Beetle.

It could be a lot of VW Beetles are bought by husbands for their wives, so they are registered to males, but in fact are driven by females.

Interesting question, but many, if not most, of today's women don't play second-fiddle any more, even to their husbands......they want the vehicle in their own names. And, on top of that, most men know that if they buy the vehicle for someone else in the family and still register it to themselves, they are legally responsible for insurance, maintenance, traffic-violations, and any personal-property taxes on it.

Your post is unclear. Did you mean they were driving MERCURY Cougars?

Thanks. No wonder I didn't know it. I'm not into that lifestyle.

No...honest (see my last post above). I know a lot more about cars than I do that type of lifestyle (which I avoid). I had never heard of the term "cougar" used in that context.

Common term, reminds me of those Sex in the City shows/movies.

I saw a minivan on the West Side Highway the other day, with a Cougar sticker. I made it my business to catch up and look, and it turned out to be some fat old lady. Some people just have no shame

urbandictionary was a valuable resource to me in high school. I was the guy who locked himself up in the library till 10 PM reading 5 chapters ahead in Calculus to maintain my 100 average and had virtually no friends, so you can imagine I was not well acquainted with many of these terms - terms usually learned by word of mouth.

I remember watching some movie where this 13 year old girl used the term "snowballing" to another boy, and the entire theater gasped in awe while I thought "What's the big deal? Maybe she wants to have a snowball fight or something of the sort"

urbandictionary threw that hypothesis out the window. I had no idea the term could be used in a sexual sense.

Warning: some people may find the "sexual" connotation of the word to be offensive. Look it up at your own risk.
