Hehe
We were also observing that one as well:

In any case:
Personally, it would depend on how the hybrid set-up would be executed (and yeah, what will it offer sorta speak). I'll wait-and-see on the final product.
Still though, if we're comparing the regular versions, then I think the Fit/Jazz (GE) is a neat buy.......and I'd definitely take one over the current Vitz/Yaris Hatch anytime.
Two cents

If I were looking at the Fit class type cars and seriously considering a Fit, the Hybrid version would no doubt be my choice. $17K for this class of car is dirt cheap today. Seriously, most cars of any type now days cost over $20K. Even loaded Camry's and Accord's can cost over $30K. Getting almost any car under $20K is a good price IMHO.

I think the question probably should have been asked: IF you were shopping a Fit type of car, would you consider ________________________ (which CK6Speed actually answered).
I think a lot of us are just not the person who's going to shop that type of car.

Today's actual MSRP's NOT counting $720 destination charge...
Base Manual.......$14,900
Base Auto..........$15,700
Sport Manual.......$16,410
Sport Auto..........$17,260
Sport w/Nav........$19,110
And they think they can offer a hybrid for $17K?
Funny how many of us laugh at $17K for a HYBRID Fit when a regular Sport with nav is just shy of $20K.

Honda tried marketing an Accord Hybrid and, like the 2Gen Insight, it just didn't sell. It cost more than a regular Accord, yet had pretty the same mileage, performance, and road manners.

There has yet to actually be a "successful" Honda hybrid. Pretty sad. Every single one of them have sold relatively poorly. Perhaps the Civic hybrid has been the only worthwhile one actually beating the dedicated hybrid Insight's MPG.
