Yes, and on that note that is why it's important that Subaru learn to make attractively styled cars.

The ability to compete with bigger and richer auto makers has nothing to do with offering handsome cars. Good exterior designs and styling doesn't require the same financial resources needed to fill a product line with latest technology.

Perhaps I am biased, but I wouldn't call my Legacy or really any of the other Legacies 1995 or later "quirky"

Looks like a sports sedan to me and a Camry of similar shape and size came 2 years after this Legacy debuted.

I've never really thought Subies were quirky; I always thought they were just un-boring.

Yes, the airplane grille, 2nd gen. Impreza really does it for me. My bro just got a third gen. which is a nice vehicle, put together better, but its ugly. Very Mazda 3ish.

I thought "quirky" was always part of what made Subaru a Subaru. I wonder how all those loyalist will feel about their brand going "mainstream."

I didn't consider Subies "quirky", I just considered them "different", a good different at that! I hope they don't sell out!

IMO, Subaru should take the risk of making attractive cars.
