Default Motor Trend Mag Subscription

I recieved MT magazine for many years.A few years for nothing.
My subscription ends and they want $24 a year. Then $12 and today I in the mail I get a $6 year offer with a free cheapo multifunction digital watch.
I like Car&Driver but do get AutoWeek and Road&Track at deep discounts and for free.MT is my least favorite.
I'll bite on the $6,though.The postage is more than that.
Magazines companies will lose money to get that advertising.

I've been getting Car&Driver for free for a long time now.
I notce magazines are getting thinner and thinner and full of ads.
I filled out a online form using a email acct I really don't use in case of spam overload, for free magazines years ago and have been getting Maxim free for quite awhile too.
Circulation = ad revenue!

Could be.
First thing I thought of was giving the watch to my 3.5 year old grandchild to wear or play with.

NEVERMIND!!!

I wrote a check for $6 and now I'm reading $6 a year for 3 years making this deal at $18.
Nah,the kid don't need the watch that bad.I can but one for $5.

The subscription paperwork goes on about getting a 89% discount off the $179.64 cover price.

If Car&Driver hit me with this I'd go with it but not MT.

I just got the same offer. I signed up, 3 years for 18 bucks, plus, a free watch (while supplies last) I couldn't pass it up. I like MT.

Same. I already have C&D and Autoweek (10/yr and free, respectively). I kept getting the offers for MT as well, but at $18 for 3 years, I couldn't pass that up. That's like 3 issues featuring comparos that I want. Bound to be at least three in the next 3 years.

You can get Motor Trend for $3/year - just do a google search on "motor trend discount" and look through the results.

You're right. The number of ad-pages in auto mags is getting ludicrous.....offering everything from radar-detectors to performance-driving schools to male-erection-enhancers.

I've noticed prices plummeting as of late for subscriptions. I get all my MT/C&D/R&T for free......Joe if you can check out EVO, CAR and Top Gear mags...twice as much for so much better.

Is the Top Gear mag, IYO, comparable to the TV show? I find the TV show somewhat corny but with some good points.
