Indeed, and that may be a reason why model cycles have been extended and not many launches made. The next decade will be a challenge, hopefully not quite the 'dark years' in the mid-late '90s, but more on whether Lexus can extend its Tier 1 run in the US into global success. Fact is, Lexus is fourth to MB, BMW, Audi worldwide (but higher or lower depending on region), and that is the next level of competition.

I beleive with the recent issues it was a wake up call for Toyota/Lexus to step back, take a look and learn from what happen. Then get back to thier core values of what made them and stay true to their mission statement, I have no doubt they will be more focus than ever before.
