Default 2011 Mercedes benz S63 back to a twin turbo!

I love this car so much! This is with the new engine that all the Mercedes benz are going to. Increased horsepower to 571 and the torque to 663, I love the twin turbo's.

http://www.emercedesbenz.com/autos/m...0%93-overview/
The top-of-the-range S-Class V8 model, the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG, is to benefit from a completely newly developed powertrain. The AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine with a peak output of up to 420 kW (571 hp) and a torque of up to 900 Nm, in combination with the unique AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, contributes towards a considerable reduction in consumption and emissions, while at the same time increasing maximum power and torque. With a fuel consumption of 10.5 litres per 100 kilometres (NEDC combined), the new high-performance Saloon not only undercuts its direct competitors – it is also more than 25 percent more economical in terms of its fuel consumption than the previous model with naturally aspirated V8 engine.

The term "Saloon", for those of you who are not aware of it, is British-speak for "sedan". It's surprising that we don't hear Jeremy Clarkson using the term much.

Back to the S63, wonder what the price tag is going to be. My guess is in the 180-200K range....maybe a little more.

I think it will be around 150-175K. The S65 is around 200K but 2011 model is the last year Mercedes benz will produce V-12 bi-turbo S65 model.

Maybe, but S-class normally-aspirated, non-turbo V8s and V12s can run 140-150K or more...especially the V12s. AMG versions, in the M-B pricing structure, usually run substantially more than their standard-issue cousins. And, of course, with the 300K+ Maybach's days numbered, this is likely going to be one of M-B's new flagships....and priced as such.

We'll see, though. And, of course, official list prices sometimes mean little if dealers can get away with mark-ups because of supply and demand.

the v12 is a different thing at 150k. s550, most of them are msrp at 110-120k, unless you go fully loaded it's hard to get to 140k. s63, just like the current NA version, will likely to be continue at around 140-150k. 200k is s65

Mercedes doesn't make NA V12's since 2002, at least in the USA. All of their V12s whether 600 series or AMG65 series are twin turbo.

He's been saying it more lately... and I believe the new CL65AMG is $201K, so I would think this (or the S65AMG more likely) will be north of that...
