Default Honda Seat Belt Chime... ugh

Recently the gf purchased a hond crv. nice little suv tried to convince her on a few other cars but she stuck with this one.

Anyways my question is that does anyone know how to stop the blasted seat belt chime? I know in your lexus/toyotas theres a sequence we can do that stops the dinging. Ive poored over dozens and dozens of threads and all the honda ppl keep saying the same thing " where your seatbelt." Its not that i dont want to wear my seatbelt but sometimes she takes our dogs to the beach or has things sitting on the front seat and dinging just wont stop. its horribly annoying.

So if anyone out there has any info to stop the dinging that would be great and no i dont want to unplug wires or put another buckle to hold its place. i just want to stop the dinging like we do in our lexus's...

if anyone is a honda tech and you can do it at your dealership i would gladly pay to remove this stupid ding.

I am pretty sure you are stuck. In a car like the CRV they will not generally offer fancy customization features like they do at Lexus

Go to a junk yard, find a crashed CRV, and cut off the seatbelt buckles, and just plug them into the seat buckles, this way the car will think you're wearing the seatbelt and sthu

Although the chime can be turned off in my 2IS, the method to do so is ridiculous. I actually have a print out of all the steps in my glove box in case i need to do it over... what a PITA.

ps: I wear my belt 100% of the time. It's just annoying when having to move the car 20' down the driveway for it to ring my ear off.

There's a real easy way...buckle. And if you have things in the front seat...buckle.

I seem to remember it being easier than that.

My parents have a Honda Pilot and geez that freakin thing is annoying, my parents have a long driveway and going to get them mail, you hear "Bleep Beep Bleep" every 5 seconds, is one of the reasons i hate Honda (so annoying) - I would do what OCH said goto a Junkyard and get a buckle out of another Honda and snap it in.. done!
