Monterey 2010: Jaguar XJ75 Platinum concept marks 75 years of The Cat [w/Video]
The Jaguar XKR175 isn't the only special kitty making its debut out in Monterey. Jag's new limited-production coupe is joined by the one-off XJ75 Platinum concept created to honor of the brand's 75th anniversary. Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance attendees will find it parked on the Concept Car Lawn.
Pearlescent white paint provides a stark contrast to the big saloon's blacked-out grille, D-pillar, and custom 22-inch wheels. Inside, black leather seats get quilted, diamond-stitch suede inserts. The same material also adorns the headliner. Additional glitz comes courtesy of the Bremont Watch Company, which is responsible for the bespoke clock installed in the XJ75's console.
If the 470-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8 doesn't provide enough entertainment, the XJ75 Platinum also features a 1,200-watt, 20-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Check out both the official photos and live pictures in high-res galleries below or follow the jump for video walkaround by Jaguar design Boss Ian Callum.

Shocked that a classy guy like Ian Callum endorses this.
And painting all the chrome black... he makes it sound like the bravest thing he's ever done, like jumping off a plane. "Ooooooh shoot... we're painting it all black. EVEN THE LEAPER IS BLACK... this has never been done before!!!" Hm
That said the XJ is still the hotness and I love everything about this car except for the wheels, the body kit, and the slightly 90's painted trim inside.

i think the wheels were nice, if they were 'inside' the lip they'd be even better. I know a lot of people aren't fans of black rims, but to me it looks good. The body kit is great too, the front just needs a more 'flush' look instead of the 'bolt on' look it has. The above pic is good with the body colored c-pillar, i was never a fan of the black. looks much better that way. Everything about this car is just a show piece so it's not literal to the way it would look if applied. I'm sure you can look at the XK version for an example. They should make it.
