Default Insideline: Cadillac CTS-V Coupe vs BMW M3 Coupe

Hell hath frozen over Seems the M3 though didn't have Michelin PS2s and thus performance suffered. Hard to ignore over 100hp though.

1st: CTS-V
A combination of brute force and glamorous presentation, the CTS-V ekes out a narrow victory for Cadillac's performance division — and it drifts like a *****.

2nd: M3
Still a benchmark in terms of precision, dynamic feedback and reserved styling, the M3 finds itself out-muscled and under-tired for this high-stakes contest.

M3 for me. I cannot get over the CTS-V's pygmy/hatchback looks.

It was the color. They didn't use the white one. White one always wins.

Time to stop reading Insideline. These fools don't know anything.

I'd take the M3 in a heartbeat over the fugly pushrod pos

If I wanted a proper torque monster, I'd get a C63.

Hmm surprisingly I'm not sure which one I'd prefer. Maybe I'd just flip a coin lol

M3 for me. The CTS-V coupe looks hideous.

I actually got to closely examine a CTS-V Coupe in person, and even I found it surprising that I didn't hate it as much as I did in the pics. The back end of this car is, dare I say it,,almost breathtaking. I actually could not stop staring at it (for an American car). I am really not a Caddy fan, and def NOT a BMW fan at all. Honestly,, pics of the CTS-V really don't do it ANY justice. Especially in black. Would I buy one,,,no. Would I stare at it and think ,,maybe,,,if I lose my mind,,,,,,possibly---YUP. As far as the Bimmer,, well, the king of almost everything could not last forever. BMW's are actually starting to get REALLY boring to me now.

i thought the cts-v sedan was a great ride. much different look, especially fconsidering the cars that roll rom cadillac's line. its very aggressive, and i was glad to see them make a coupe version. the exhaust look is simplistic yet gives a strong, intimidating look. the m3 coupe is a nice looking ride and performs greatly, but not surprising the cts-v coupe won this battle. great read!

I agree that the CTS-V sedan is a beast and I was also close to getting one.

However, when it comes to coupe options, these two cars would still lag behind a Z06 or GT-R. Both the CTS V and M3 are great options in their 4 door variants, but they are both too compromised in their coupe forms compared to their competitors, imo.
