Standing Ovation for Ford.

You have really out done yourself.

So when are we getting a new GT?

Amazing to see the handling of the new Mustang. We all know Ford can make them go fast, but wow.

I will say this. How old is the M3 now... 2-4 years? BMW set the mark, and just now the Ford caught it. Mercs AMG did not and the IS-F could not match its overall performance. Track and straight line.

But the problem is that BMW will just up the bar next time and it will be 3-4 years after the new M3 is out that everyone will catch up.

Amazing performance from a NON Cobra Mustang. I wonder what the new Cobra will be like?!?!?!

WOW!. Gotta love Ford and the Stang. And this isn't one of the fancy special edition Mustangs it's the regular GT!!:

I'd like to see a Stang GT vs IS-F coupe (if Lexus would make one...) Both will have 5.0L V8 making about the same amount of power!

I'd definitely take 2 GT's over 1 M3.

IMO, I have no interest in owning 2 of the same car, any car.

But I see your point on bang for the buck.

Love the GT, what a ride!!!

But if I was in the M3 market I do not think I would cross shop them much.

The weight of the GT is what catches me!

Does the GT still use the solid axle rear end or does it get the IRS?

What is even moar impressive is the fact that just SIMPLE bolt-ons will put this car on an even higher performance pedestal:

If it handles this well sitting that high with stock suspension... A set of mere Eibachs will yield even better stats!
Exhaust + cold-air intake + ecu/chip? Should easily yank out another 25-30hp and similar torque gains all for @ $1,500!!!

Gotta love that American Muscle.
