Great news.

That's something I suggested to Hyundai a long time ago.....expanding their AWD past the SUV line.

AWD is a step in the right direction (this is true for any carmaker)

Heck, I'd personally root for an AWD Genesis Coupe

I love how Hyundai adding AWD to a car that sells less than 2500 units a month is "a nail in the coffin" to the most established, successful luxury brands in America

Front of this car is so busy...split grille, hood emblem, three air inlets, random chrome "whiskers", etc.

Overall, not a bad looking car but I would give them more respect if they designed something original.

Nail in the coffin is a tad dramatic. Lexus, BMW, and Benz will always have a market in the US and the LS, 7 series, and S class buyers won't buy a Hyundai no matter what they offer with it. Genesis may dig into the C300 leasers a little bit, but that's about it.

the 2009 genesis "supposedly" retains more value than it's similar competitior. Can you do some research and confirm this ? I'm skeptical

Here's an '09 3.8L at a Hyundai dealer near me for $23997 but prices do vary up to a ridiculous $31K.

that's about 10k off the new car price of 33k.....that's a pretty good deal for the buyer, but a 30 percent loss to the seller!
